Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum Review

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum

One of my ‘favourite’ things about having dry skin (use that term very loosely please,) is that I’m constantly testing products trying to find that holy grail that will keep my skin looking nourished with that plumpness look that only comes from well hydrated pores.
The Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum* is a soothing, hydrating, silicon-gel like formula which includes Avene Thermal Spring Water, a therapeutic ingredient that helps to hydrate and soothe even the most irritated of skin types.  Easily slotted into any skincare routine, the light weight serum should be applied after cleansing and before moisturising to ensure the best results.  I’ve been using it as part of my morning routine and have noticed that the usual morning puffiness reduces a lot quicker than if I use other serums.  I’ve also noticed that its been helping my breakouts look a little less angry and calms the areas and reduces redness.
I found that the serum sunk in almost instantly and I could put my moisturiser on straight away.  It made my skin feel smooth and got rid of any tightness that comes with being a dry skinned girl.  I keep my bottle really cold so it’s extra soothing in the morning and gives my face the wake up call it needs.  Overall I’ve enjoyed using this serum; as far as producing the results you expect from a serum, it’s delivered.  I would consider repurchasing this once the bottle runs dry.
So if you’re looking for a new serum I’d recommend trying out this Avene offering.  Escentual have up to a third off French Pharmacy brands until the end of March so if you’re quick you’ll be able to grab a bargain (Normal RRP £17).  Now that payday has been, I’ve got my eye on some more Caudalie bits.  Have you tried any products from Avene?
