Scaredoo Professional Haircare Brush Review

I worked at summer camp in 2010 with a girl that NEVER bushed her hair.  It looked like a beautiful lion’s mane; full of volume and the jammy sod made it look effortless.  I’m not sure how she did it but I know if I attempted it, it just would not work!  For us mere mortals that do regard hair brushing as a necessity there is a new breed of hairbrush on the market.  These brushes have been designed to cause less damage to the hair and also to make it as painless experience as humanely possible.
Of course the most famous of this new breed is the ‘Tangle Teaser’ but recently, I was sent another one to try.  The Scaredoo Professional Haircare Brush* has been designed by a parent who was having a nightmare with their child’s long tangly hair.  They wanted a hairbrush that would detangle knots but not cause any damage as hair can be a delicate thing.  I remember as a child sitting in tears while my mum tried so hard not to hurt me as she brushed through my crazy mane of hair.  I’ve been using this brush now for around two months and I’m going to throw it out there: Tangle Teaser Who??
I’ve never gotten on with the Tangle Teaser and my thick, long hair.  It’s just not cutting it.  The Scaredoo glides through my hair with ease and does not require it to be split off into a thousand sections.  Scaredoo use a three tier bristle technology which allows the brush to glide over knots and detangle them without causing the damage that a normal paddle brush would.  One of the best things about the Scaredoo is that you can flip the brush over and they’ve given you a paddle brush built in too!  So once you’ve got all the knots out, you can use it to style your hair with it as well.  A great idea for space saving.  You can see me test out both sides of the brush in more detail in my What’s in my bag? video on Youtube.  However like the Tangle Teaser, is is easy to hold as it’s been moulded to a universal shape which will fit all hand sizes.
I also like the fact that the brush incorporates my two favourite colours; blue and pink!  You can get this brush in a variety of colours and whether you’re an adult or a child it makes the whole experience a lot more fun than using a boring black brush.  I’ve also stared keeping extra hair bobbles in the space between the outer handle and the bristles.  I told you, it’s a space savers dream!  The Sacredoo is available to buy from their website for £10.99 and £1 of that is donated to The Pink Ribbon Foundation which for those of you that don’t know is a breast cancer charity.
I’ve definitely been converted by this gem of a hair brush and if you didn’t really get the whole tangle Teaser fuss I urge you to try the Scaredoo as in my opinion it is the much better option!
