For those of you that don’t know, in the odd numbered calendar months of the year, I’ve taken to weekly vlogging my life (in the even numbered ones I daily vlog!) I’ve even made a brand new YouTube channel to separate out my Disney content which I know so many of you love, and my daily life which many of you also like to watch.
Over the last six months or so, I’ve really got into editing and have finally made the transition from iMovie and its basic function (which don’t get me wrong, have served me well), to Final Cut Pro where I can have a bit more creative freedom over how I edit my vlogs.
I love trying new things in my weekly vlogs and my passion for editing has risen substantially since I started to master Final Cut Pro. Next week I’ll be attending an all day course on FCP at the YouTube Space in London. I’m excited to gain more knowledge and improve my videos even more.
As much as I love watching weekly vlogs, last year I became tired of my own. Even though they show my weekly life and will continue to do so, I want to tell a story with them. I want them to look beautiful because life is beautiful (even the crappy parts) so I’ve been playing around with the filming style and editing process of this month’s first weekly vlog. I really hope you like it! Let me know your thoughts in the comments on this post or on the video!
