The Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour in Watermelon * () might be my new favourite red (It also goes perfect with the Minnie Ears don’t you think?) I think it’s officially overtaken Mac Russian Red to get to the top spot on my ‘Favourite Red’s list’ – not just because of my recent obsession with all things watermelon, but here’s why…
This lipstick might be the creamiest and most comfortable lipstick I’ve ever worn in my entire life. As somebody who usually prefers matte shades, it’s made a lovely change to go for something a bit more glossy. The staying power is the best I have ever seen from a lipstick. A good eight hours; only needing a tiny top up after eating but it got through a fair few drink unscathed. Unlike a few of the other red’s in my collection, it doesn’t bleed and I find that I don’t get much transfer onto my teeth (phew!)
Shade wise, I’d say Watermelon is a fairly accurate name – except it’s a little more on the red side rather than the pink. This has been my go-to shade for the last couple of weeks and it’s going to be a great shade for autumn too. I’ve had so many compliments when I’ve worn it in some of my youTube videos 🙂 Packaging is classic Bobbi Brown, some of the most elegant packaging out there. I get so many compliments when I wear this shade in my YouTube videos. This has honestly become my favourite shade of lipstick ever. It even works with my blonder hair (see later photos for evidence!)
