When One Door Closes…

Yesterday was a bit of an emotional day for me as I waved goodbye to the job I’ve been doing for nearly 18 months. I’m moving on to pastures new and on Monday I’ll be the new girl in the office again as I embark on the next stage of my career.
It’s funny how life works out really. Before I joined the company I left yesterday, I was actually made redundant from my role before that.  I was devastated at the time.  I remember coming home and crying my eyes out, thinking what the hell was I going to do; how was I going to pay my bills?  But actually if I hadn’t been made redundant, I never would have gotten the job I’ve just left – the one that has given me amazing opportunities to do a bit of travelling and learn new skills that have helped me do my job better.  The one with the great people who would always answer my stupid questions. The one where I felt comfortable going into the office everyday. The one which turned out to be a job I loved.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that ‘when one door close, another door opens’ – and what’s through that door can be awesome.  It’s cliche and cheesy but I believe in that saying 100% – just like ‘it was meant to be’ and ‘everything happens for a reason’.  It’s just a case of waiting for the right door to open and then who know, you may get an amazing opportunity!
On a less pensive note, a new job means new work wear. Now let me enjoy my few days of freedom…shopping!
