Sleek Blush By 3 – Californ.i.a

As a brand Sleek have some iconic products in their product line.  Their contour and brow kits are just two examples of products that get rave reviews from everybody I know – although I’ll admit the contour kit wasn’t for me.  Another popular Sleek product is their Blush by 3; a palette with three gorgeous colour in that is very handy for using on the go.
I’ve managed to get my hands on the Sleek Blush by 3 in Californ.i.a* and have fallen in love with it.  There are two shades in there that are so beautiful that I don’t know why I’ve never picked them up before.  As cream blushes, they are all soft and creamy with a really pretty finish that gives you the faintest hint of dew on your cheeks.  They’re easy to build and blend and the longevity surprised me considering they were cream – they lasted all day.
Shade wise I think my favourite has to be OC (right) and not just because of the name – even though it’s pretty damn amazing and named after on of my favourite TV shows – were you a Seth or a Ryan?  It is a warm coral pink with red undertones and when applied it gives your cheeks a warm, healthy glow.  The colour on your cheeks looks exactly like it does in the pan and probably the most buildable of all the shades.  On the other side of the palette, Newport Peach is also a coral based pink but more on the pink side than OC.  It’s a beautiful colour which is again, easy to build and gives you a dewy glow – perfect for spring.  The final colour in the middle called Surf was the most difficult one for me to work with.  An out and out peach shade I think this would look great on more olive toned skin or when I’ve got a tan.  It looked non existent on my fair skin and to get any colour pay off I needed to wear a ton of the stuff – not ideal.
Overall I really love this palette and am currently wearing either OC or Newport Peach to work every day.  I apply the using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush which makes them easy to apply.  After hearing so many good things about the Sleek by 3 palettes I can confirm that the cream versions are a fantastic investment (all that product for £9.99 from Superdrug).
