Up until around three years ago I barely paid any attention to my brows. I had them threaded occasionally (I’ve been lucky to be blessed with naturally tidy brows) but with regard to filling them in, I didn’t even realise people did that. I’m always looking for good brow fillers to add to my collection and Benefit have come up with a pretty good solution.
Benefit have launched Gimme Brow*
to coincide with ‘Brow Arch March’, a fantastic initiative in which Benefit have teamed up with Debenhams to offer a complementary brow wax and shaping at any Benefit counter based within their stores. In return they ask for a suggested donation of £5 to the charity Look Good, Feel Better
– the international charity that supports women in dealing with the physical side effects from cancer treatments. There’s still two weeks left of March so if you need your brows doing, be sure to head to your nearest Debenhams to participate in ‘Brow Arch March’.
As I said earlier, I’ve been lucky to be blessed with naturally tidy brows which also happen to be naturally thin – not fantastic when big, bushy brows are on trend. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think big brows suit me anyway – they would overpower my face – but I do like to give them a bit of oompf when filling them in. I usually fill them in with pencil as it looks the most natural (I’m really not a fan of the fake, drawn on brow – sorry) but the Benefit Gimme Brow – a brow gel has turned my head.
I couldn’t believe how easy it was to use. The tiny brush is smaller than my little fingernail and is the perfect size for my thin brows. The trick is to use the brush to build up the gel slowly to create thick, well filled brows. The brush-on fibre gel adheres to both skin and hair which helps you create the perfect shape and fill in any sparse areas which I have a few of! Extending my brows out is one of the biggest things I need from any brow filler and by using the tip of the wand, it’s so easy to do this.
I really love this product and will definitely be reaching for it again. I forgot to mention that it’s also waterproof and extremely long lasting – bonus points from me! My brows stayed in place all day, even when my office reached high heat. It’s the perfect simple, fuss free way to make your brows look great. It’s the perfect size to carry around in your travel bag and it’s available in two colours light/medium and medium dark. You can pick it up from Benefit counters for £17.50.
