Physicians Formula Happy Booster Blush in Rose Review

I can’t believe I’m only just getting around to reviewing this blush as it is actually something I picked up when I went to New York in February (see haul here!)  but alas it’s better late than never.  I picked up the Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Rose ($13.95) from CVS and I couldn’t wait to get it home to try.
Physician’s Formula would probably be the equivalent of Sleek in the UK.  It’s not as cheap as Rimmel but it is by no means a high end brand and can be found in lots of different pharmacies and Walmart’s all over the US.
The design of the Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Rose is so pretty and one of my favourites in my collection.  Infused in the Happy Boost blend is euphororyl, a natural plant extract that has been proved to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of Endorphins which help protect the skin from environmental stresses.  The packaging is lovely, all pink and shiney and it also comes with a mirror and a brush (although I prefer to use my Real Techniques Blush Brush.)
The design is really cute; lots of hearts in different shades of pink that when swirled together, create a vibrant shade that is a little scary at first.  But fear not,  it doesn’t go onto the face as vibrantly as it would be if you were to swirl your finger in the pan.  Using a brush you can create a gorgeous rosy pink glow on the cheeks that is easily build-able and a dream to blend out if you overdo it.  It’s quite long lasting too.  I wouldn’t say it was as long lasting as Tarte’s blushes but it comes very close.  It stayed on my cheeks all day but was very faded by the time I got home from work.  If I was going out straight from work, it would need a top up.
Unfortunately, it seems I have finally lost my holiday tan so I’m back to being a pale snowman.  The vibrant pink looked lovely on my skin when blended out a little bit.  Day to day, I’ve been adding some bronzer into the mix for extra dimension and it works perfectly with my trusty Nars Laguna.  it’s the perfect combination for that healthy glow.
Unfortunately, Physicians Formula is not available on the UK high street at the moment BUT… There are whispering that they are coming.  There is nothing that says when or where that will be but they are coming, Hooray!!  I can’t wait to get stuck into this brand a bit more.  The products that I’ve tried from there already have been fab.  So, my American readers, what do you suggest picking up when it finally makes it over the atlantic?
