Make Up For Ever HD Foundation Review

As we come back into autumn, this is usually the time I change up my foundation in preparation for the upcoming colder months.  This year I made the switch about a month earlier than usual due to wanting to try a product that I had hanging around my ‘products to try’ draw.  I picked up the Make Up Forever HD Foundation while in Florida back in June but ignored it for a while as I was loving the combination of my healthy summer glow and a select few BB Creams.  But alas, the time came when I just couldn’t ignore it any more and took my first steps in the world of ‘Make Up Forever.’
I feel confident in saying that this foundation is THE best foundation I have ever used.  Yes, I know, it’s a bold statement to make but when you see the results of this foundation you will understand why.  There is a reason that this foundation is used by makeup artists who work on TV shows/ films to make their models/actors look camera ready.  The foundation is designed to appear invisible to HD cameras and to he naked eye but still cover skin imperfections.  With medium to full coverage, it’s surprisingly easy to buff in with a brush or work into the skin with fingers.  Personally, I use my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply this to my face as I find that the brush works with the foundation to leave a flawless finish.  It only takes one pump to cover my whole face which is impressive as I have a big face!
I’ve started wearing this foundation in my youtube videos and I’ve had lots of lovely compliments about my skin looking flawless.  The shade range is quite impressive with 26 shades ranging from super light to dark colours.  Hopefully this means that there a suitable shade for everybody. I went for the shade 115 which is the second lightest shade.  Packaging wise it isn’t what you expect from something that costs the same as most high end foundations here in the UK.  The top is plastic but the bottle is a nice sturdy glass.  The downside to glass of course is that it is heavy to transport.
If you are lucky enough to be going abroad soon to a place where this is stocked freely, I urge you to swatch it.  For me (and many others) this really is a holy grail product that has most defiantly earned it’s place in my everyday makeup routine.  I’d love to try the Make Up Forever concealer palette which I am kicking myself for not picking up now.  Is there any other Make Up Forever products that are totally worth the hype?
