Since having my hair trimmed just after my holiday, I’ve been making more of a conscious effort to keep it looking shiny and healthy. This means less abuse from heat and when heat is required, ensuring that I am protecting my locks as best I can.
The ghd Style Heat Protect Spray* is part of
ghd’s Style range which also includes a hairspray and a curling spray. I’ve always been a bit naughty when it comes to heat protecting spray and I’ve never really bothered with them for a consistent amount of time. I usually then spend about five minutes at the start of my next hair appointment being told off by my hairdresser about the fact that I don’t use it and promising to change my ways. Well this time I’ve stuck to my promise and the results have been worth it.
I can already tell my hair is thanking me for using it. My hair is sleeker and shinier and is in much better condition eight weeks after I’ve had my locks trimmed than it usually is. In fact I’m rather looking forward to going back to the hairdressers to be congratulated on having super duper shiny, healthy hair! All you need to do is spray a few sprites onto damp hair and then style how you normally would. It’s amazing how weightless this product feels. In the few times I’ve dabbled with heat protection spray in the past, I’ve always found that they weigh my hair down and make it feel full of product. Another problem I’ve encountered is that hair can get greasier quicker but this is simply not the case with the ghd spray and I haven’t had to wash my hair any soon due to it feeling greasier quicker. My hair feels weightless and with that ‘fresh out of the salon’ feel about it, not to mention incredibly soft.
The smell of this heat protection spray is also divine which I find makes me a lot my likely to reach for the bottle. It has that ‘salon’ smell about it making me feel like I’ve just come out from a salon blow dry every time I use it. I love having nice smelling hair and even after using my heat appliances I can still smell the protection spray. I also love the sleek packaging that it comes it. I think that ghd’s branding in general is spot on and I love the gold and black colour scheme on the bottle. It makes me feel like I’m holding a very expensive product in my hand and definitely has a salon feel about it.
Overall, I’ve loved using this product and heat protection spray has finally become a consistent part of my hair washing routine thanks to ghd. I will most certainly be making a repurchase when I run out 🙂
