Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Trio Review

If you were to ever ask me what I would recommend you pick up if you were visiting Sephora, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Fresh Sugar Lip Balms.  As far as lip balms go, they are the most luxurious feeling, heavenly scented lip balms that I have ever come across.  I first dabbled with Fresh Lip Balms when I went to New York in February and have never looked back since.  I picked up two of the Rose tinted ones (see full review here), one of which has now been depleted and the other is very near the finishing point too.  I knew when I went to Florida in June that I must replenish my stock and when I got there Sephora’s offering didn’t disappoint.
I picked up the Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Trio ($28 Sephora) which contains Sugar Rose and two other shades that I wanted to try but didn’t want to purchase the full versions of.  These were Sugar Berry; a gorgeous plum shade that would make a great colour for autumn, and Sugar Coral which as it says on the tin, is a beautiful coral shade which instantly makes my lips look warmer.  Having played around with the shades I think my favourite is Sugar Berry as the colour pay off is excellent (my biggest gripe with the rose one is that there is no payoff at all, although this does make it the perfect ‘for work’ colour)  It gives you lips just enough of a dewy colour and is also keeping your lips hydrated.  I would recommend the Fresh offering in a heart beat over the Revlon Lip Butter which apart from one shade, I am really not a fan of.  They have been scientifically proven to last 6 hours, something I can vouch for as  barely need to reapply it (if I can resist licking off my lips of course!)  The scent (and taste) is the famous ‘Fresh Sugar’ scent which is so tasty that I have trouble keeping this stuff on my lips because I have a habit of licking it off (whoops!)  Don’t forget it ‘s free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates and also has an SPF of 15 so protects your lips from the sun and environmental nasties.
I think next time I go to Sephora I will be exploring the rest of Fresh’s range.  I know they have a lip scrub but I’ve always been hesitant on picking it up as it’s around the $25 mark, eeek!  But the smell, oh the heavenly smell, it might just sway me next time!
Have you tried anything from Fresh?  What is your favourite?
