Nurture Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover Review

For me, mascara is a constant battle.  If it’s not waterproof, it’s half way down my face by lunchtime.  Of course, waterproof eye makeup comes with its own battles, namingly, how the heck do you get all of it off?  My current routine is a cotton soaked pad of my trusted Bioderma (review here) but I’m always up from trying new things that will allow me to spend less time in the bathroom before bed.
The Nurture Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover* is a fragrance free, oil based, gentle eye makeup remover that dissolves even the most stubborn of waterproof mascaras.  This has been one of the most fun skincare products that I have ever used.  As you can see from the photos, the formula is split into two sections, blue and clear.  To activate the formula you must mix the two together and that requires a bit of a shake baby!  I’ve had a wild time singing and dancing around the bathroom, shaking my thing to Beyonce before pouring some onto a cotton pad to remove my L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara, waterproof of course.
My first impressions of this makeup remover is that it seems to do a great job of removing mascara quickly and with ease.  It isn’t greasy either so it does’t leave that layer on your skin that other eye makeup removers have done in the past.  It also gets rid of gel eyeliners and eye shadows with no effort at all.
I found that there was a distinct lack of rubbing going on when trying to remove makeup.  The formula obviously does a great job at dissolving makeup meaning less scrubbing and looking like you’ve gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson after you’re done.  It also didn’t sting when I accidentally used too much and over saturated my cotton pad before placing it on my eye, something that can normally be quite painful.
Overall, I’ve been impressed with the eye makeup remover.  Nobody wants panda eyes in the morning and this did a great job of making sure that this didn’t happen.  I don’t think I would purchase this again as I’m too in love with my trusty Bioderma that does a stellar job at removing all my makeup before my cleanse but if that changed I wouldn’t hesitate.
You can pick up the Nurture Bi-Phase Eye Makeup Remover from the Nurture website for £6.95.
Do you use eye makeup removers or all in one pre cleansers?
