The City so nice they named it twice – Day One

Sorry if you don’t like picture heavy posts but be prepared for a few more over the next few days because as you can probably guess, I’ve just got back from a break in the ‘City That Never Sleeps.’  We flew out last Monday after I surprised James for his birthday and it was the best holiday ever!  We got so much in to our four day trip, we never stopped!  I think I need another holiday to get over this one!
The pictures above are from the first day where we first headed up the Empire State Building (all the way to the 102nd Floor!) to take some amazing photos of the city!  Then it was off the the Natural History Museum to visit Rex and DumDum!  I love the NHM, I could spend all day wandering around it getting lost in all the history and artefacts!
Later, we headed up to Top of the Rock where (in my opinion) you get the best views of the city!  We were really lucky to time it with sunset and we got some amazing photos of the Empire State!
Finally we were lucky enough to get great seats to see Phantom of the Opera.  One word: WOW!  It was absolutely incredible   I don’t think I can even put it into words how fantastic it was.  I would recommend that if you do get the chance to head off to NYC, that you absolutely see a show.  We got our tickets from the half price booth in Time Square and got fantastic seats!
So that was day one, I do have more photos and will try to get some more up in a few days but I hope you enjoyed this post 🙂
