Rose & Co Lip Balm

A few weeks ago I was delighted when Rose & Co asked me if I’d like to try out a product to review.  I jumped at the chance as I absolutely love their Rose Lip Salve that I got in one of the beauty boxes.  I was intrigued to know more about the brand and their other products as I’ll be honest I’ve never seen them stocked anywhere.
If you don’t know much about Rose & Co they were created by Patricia and Caroline Rose (mother and daughter) when they took over an old druggist shop in Yorkshire.  The packaging of their own collection is inspired by all things vintage and beautiful and you can tell a lot of time and thought has gone into choosing the designs.  They still run their apothecary up in Yorkshire and they have restored it to it’s former Victorian Splendour.  I’m really intrigued by this and if I ever go to Yorkshire I am definitely planning a visit.
I was given some lip balms from the ‘Patisserie de Bain’ range.  Included were the flavours ‘Strawberry Cupcake’*,’ Lemon Bon Bon’* and ‘Sugared Violet’*.  They all come in really cute packaging and they all smell divine!  There isn’t any colour pay off but I haven’t really found that to be a problem.  They glide onto the lips smoothly and thinly which is great because during the day I don’t want a heavy lip balm coating my lips that others can noticeable see (that’s more a night time product for me, think Nuxe Rev De Mil).  You only need a little of this product as it goes a long way and adds a gorgeous sheen to your lips.  I’ve been using them on their own or layering them over my lipstick as a alternative to lip gloss and it lasts ages without me needing to touch up.
My favourite is ‘Strawberry Shortcake’ because it smells like strawberry laces that I use to eat when I was a child (ok, I still eat them!!).  I just keep thrusting the tin under every body’s noses and saying ‘smell this, isn’t it amazing!!’  I’m really lucky as the sample they have given me contains the three tins.  This means I can keep one on my desk at work, one in my make up collection and one in my handbag for when I’m on the go.
I can’t find this exact product on their website but have found the bigger tub of Lemon Bon Bon (which in case you were wondering smells average in the tin but once its on your lips you will want to lick it off it smells that good).  Rose & Co can be bought online and is available in Harrods and other independent retailers.  I recommend a visit to their online shop just to see how gorgeously vintage it is!
I really like this brand.  I think it is the cute packaging that first drew me in but ultimately everything I have tried so far is of a good quality.  I would recommend the lip salves for day time use as they are so effective.  My lips feel soft and they look great!
Have you ever tried anything from Rose & Co?
