Overnight Beauty Essentials

Sometimes staying away from home for the night can be the biggest pain in the patella!!  Packing an overnight bag is tricky, I always forget something!  Over the last few months I have been spending a few nights away from home (weddings, business trips, visiting the parents etc) and I’ve managed to get my overnight beauty regime down to a fine art, especially after a heavy night out!!

The first thing I do at the end of a night is take my eyelashes off.  It’s the worst feeling waking up in the middle of the night with you eyes stuck together because you forgot to take them off.  Then I move on to my make-up.  For this I soak a couple of cotton pads in Bioderma (which I’ve transfered from my big 500ml bottle to my teeny 100ml one), wizz them round my face and tah-dah I am make up free!!  I make sure I get every last inch off before I move on to the next step which is to apply some Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and finally my No7 Night cream.
In the morning I like to keep my routine simple.  I give my face another quick wipe with a Bioderma cotton soaked cotton pad and apply some moisturiser (I’m loving my Ren samples for travelling at the moment).  Samples of things can be so handy.  They don’t take up much room at all!!  The lighter the better I say.
Next is make up! I like to keep things simple here too.  I usually don’t feel up to doing a full face of make up (haha I’m worried people will think I am vain).  I usually just take my Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in 01 Ivory (I’m pure for shore) and apply with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.  Next I add my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer  to my under eye area to make me look alive and I follow this with a bit of blush.  I’m loving my Mac Powder blush in Prism at the moment.  It gives me some colour to my cheeks to make me look human again.  Finally I add some L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara to widen my eyes and a touch of lip balm so that my lips get some hydration.

And that’s about it for the overnight.  Minimal is key in these situations (as you do have to carry it all around with you).

So there you have it, nothing too special.  I’d love to know if you have any specific products you put in your overnight travel bag?
