Review: Lush Big Shampoo

So I finally decided to try some of Lush’s hair care range.  As you will know from my last post I got quite a sizeable sample of Lush’s Big Shampoo.  Now I have tried it all I can say is WOW! This stuff is amazing!

I should probably start by telling you I have quite thick hair that is coloured and is just past my shoulders in length.  The first time I used it was a little perplexed by the texture of it.  It is very rough (from all the sea salt) and I couldn’t see how it was going to lather up.  Boy was I wrong; with a bit around the size of a 50 pence piece it created an amazing lather that covered all my hair.  The sea salt made it feel like I was giving my scalp a massage and it felt like I was cleansing away all the product build up in my hair.
After rinsing it out I did the ‘squeak test’ on my hair (Where you using your hands to cause friction and create a sound; if your hair squeaks it’s clean) and it made quite a high pitched squeak!
After blow drying it felt amazing; so clean and bouncy.  I could see an improvement in volume immediately!  My hair felt light just like when I come out of the hairdressers!  I’m definitely impressed.
My only concern is that the sea salt will probably play havoc with the ends of my hair and cause it to dry out if I use it too much.  I think I will probably only use it one or twice a week and make sure I condition well (as you should when you use alot of heat on your hair!)  Also at £10.95 its a little pricey which is another reason I will probably use it periodically rather than all the time.
Have you guys tried any of the other Lush Haircare range? What are your thoughts?
