It was time for me to get a new foundation this weekend after my old one ran out. It was convenient really as it was time for a change as my old one was making me look orange of late, apparently I’ve gotten paler. But I’m learning to embrace my pale look.
I went along to Selfridge’s to see the lovely Bee at the Mac counter (she’s a paley too!) She was so lovely and helped me find a new shade. I’ve gone for Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NC15 (£19.95). It is one of the paler shades that Mac sell and it provides full coverage with just a small amount and you can build it up for the evenings or when you want a bit more coverage.
I also stocked up on Mac Prep+Prime Primer (£18.95). I love this stuff, my face just does not seem to like keeping foundation on it because it is oily in places so this stuff helps it stick. It creates a shield between your face and the foundation and it doesn’t budge. Believe me I’ve tried every foundation under the sun; cheap, expensive, every brand you can think of and my face literally repels them without this primer. This is a little pricey, if anybody can recommend a cheaper but effective primer please drop me a comment below
