Fishmore Spa & Afternoon Tea at Fishmore Hall Hotel

fishmoreThere’s nothing better after a long week at work, than a relaxing spa day.  A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited down to the Fishmore Spa Shell (more on the shell bit later!) for a pamper session and Afternoon Tea at the Fishmore Hotel.

Based in Ludow, the Fishmore Spa Shell is a new addition to the beautiful Fishmore Hall boutique hotel.  It took me around an hour to get there from Birmingham which also included driving through a part of the country where sheep roam freely and there are no fences (no really – I saw a sheep stood with his face to a wall – it was very funny – maybe you had to be there!).

The spa itself is a Scandi-inspired wooden building which was built from a flat pack that has a sauna, steam room, outdoor hot tub and four treatment rooms.  The reception area is light and there is a feel of cosiness throughout the building.

After being shown around and changing into our swimsuits, myself and the other bloggers headed to the outdoor hot tub.  It was wonderful to sit there and chat to other like minded people.  While we were sat in the hot tub, it was difficult to ignore the beautiful views of the Shropshire countryside.  In the winter you can sit there as it starts to go dark and hot tub under the stars which sounds amazing!

After trying out the sauna and steam room, it was time for my treatment.  As much as I’d have loved the massage, this time, I opted for the Elemis facial to help combat the dry skin that has developed recently on my face.  Lying there on the bed, I’ve never felt more relaxed.  It took everything I had to not to fall asleep.  The therapist worked her magic cleansing, toning and moisturising my face before giving me a hand, arm and head massage to finish.  By the time she was done, I was ready for a nap but unfortunately we’d come to the end of our spa afternoon.

We headed into the hotel for a delicious Afternoon Tea with Laura, the manger of the hotel and spa. The sandwiches, scones, macarons and mini cakes (carrot and lemon) went down very well and even though I don’t drink tea, my fruit juice drink went down a treat.  The staff were very attentive and there was gluten free and veggie options available too (pre-ordered).

So if you’re looking for the perfect place for a spa day, I’d highly recommend Fishmore Spa.  It would be the perfect place to treat your mum for Mother’s Day.  To celebrate mums throughout March, Fishmore is offering a voucher for a complimentary nail, file and polish for every mum that has a three course meal at the hotel’s restaurant, Forelles.

They’ve also got an Easter deal on offering a special three night Easter package for £599 for two people, which includes three nights B&B, a three course evening meal and a spring bouquet of flowers.

*I was invited to Fishmore and gifted my entry, facial and afternoon tea. As always, opinions are my own.
