Bobbi Brown Surf and Sand Collection

Bobbi Brown is a brand that I’ve dabbled in a few times in the past.  They have some fantastic products that are staples which I rotate in my collection – the Corrector and the Concealer palette respectively.  Their collections are some of my favourites; always versatile and wearable for both day and night.  Their latest collection called the Bobbi Brown Surf and Sand Collection (perfect for summer) embodies all that is great about Bobbi Brown; neutral shades with a pop of colour – just my thing!
A mixture of different products, there are some stand outs that have me cooing with delight.  First up is the * – an eyeshadow palette full of eight perfectly wearable shades including  a stunning blue that is sure to bring summer to the eye area.  The other shades are a mixture of both sparkly and matte with a good colour pay off.  I can imagine this palette being perfect for holidays abroad.  Simple but powerful.  The shades in the palette would be great for an all over wash of colour but I agree with some other reviews I’ve read; it is missing a good crease shade.  The palette also comes with a decent sized mirror meaning it would be perfect on the go.
Another products for the eyes are the *.  Designed to emulate the Bobbi Brown best seller, the pencils are basically the Gel Eye liner in pencil form.  I love the beautiful bronze shade called… ‘Bronze’ would you believe?  I can confirm that they last quite well – not as long as the gel pots but I think that has something to do with the difference in application.
Also included are * Lipsticks.  The stand out for me was ‘Peach Sorbet’. They’re light on the lips, leaving a good amount of colour and last fairly well, even in the warm weather we’ve been having here in the UK.  All the Sheer Lip colour are designed so that everybody can find their perfect nude.  This collection is all about eyes and cheeks but you can;t leave your lips unfinished.
Moving onto cheeks and Bobbi Brown have created the * – a cheek trio that contains a bronzer, blush and highlight all in one.  You can use them separately or swirl your brush to create a mixed shade that gives cheeks a subtle glow.
I’m truly loving this new collection by Bobbi Brown.  It has some beautiful pieces which I’m looking forward to using and it’s made me dig out some old favourites too.  Have you seen the Sand and Surf collection? What do you think is the standout piece?
