Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Review

The search for a new night creams continues and the latest stop on this journey of discovery is the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins.  A mineral enriched renewal cream, the Night-A-Mins cream has proved very popular with the online blogger set but also the non beauty enthusiasts.   Night-A-Mins contains vitamins C, E and H, as well as hyaluronic acid to hydrate and salicylic acid to exfoliate.  It’s meant to remove the dead layers of skin leaving a brighter complexion when you wake in the morning.
The first thing that you notice about this product is the scent.  It smells zezty and reminds me of a very strong chocolate orange smell.  Such a bonus when you’re slathering it all over your face right before bed!  It’s actually quite soothing and helps me drift off into a great sleep.  Let’s talk about the texture; thick and creamy and it makes the skin silky smooth.  You can allow night creams to be thicker for a number of reasons.  The first is that of course, you’re not putting makeup on before bed so you don’t have to worry about foundation slipping off the top of it and the second is of course it has more time to absorb and work with the skins natural renewal process.  You also don’t need a huge amount to cover the whole face, I use a pea-sized amount and it covers it easily.  I noticed a difference the first morning after using this product.  My skin felt smooth and looked more bright than I’ve seen it in a while.  Over a few weeks I noticed that some acne scaring on my chin disappeared and that my skin felt smoother and less bumpy.
Downsides to this product?  None that I can think of.  You can even get a oil free version for you oily gals.  I do hear however that as time goes on the due to the packaging design the potency gets less and less, but not drastically and if you’re using the product often you’ll probably reach the end before it becomes redundant.  While we’re talking about the packaging I have to admit that I love it.  I love the simple design and the sturdiness of the jar.  I really cannot help but love this product even with its flaws.  I’m definitely going to repurchase this when it runs out, although I can;t see that being any time soon as it goes on forever!
I can’t believe that this full size product was included in the Morning to Midnight set which came in at £40. Erm hello, the Night-A-Mins alone costs £33 for  the 50ml and is available from Boots.  Origins do some fantastic sets around Christmas so it will definitely be worth remembering that if you missed out this year.

What should be next on the Origins checklist?
