Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado Review

Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Eye cream is something that I have been meaning to pick up for a while now.  My normal moisturisers aren’t cutting it around the eye areas and are leaving me with white milk spots below the eye.  This is caused due to the moisturisers being too heavy for the thinner skin that surrounds the eye.  During the #NottsBBMeet we paid a visit to Kiehl’s for a one to one skin consultation where I discussed eye creams with the lovely consultant and she recommended the Kiehl’s Eye Treatment with Avocado.

The Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment is the first eye treatment that I’ve ever really stuck to using.  Actually I’m really surprised by what I’ve seen from it.  My impression of eye creams is that they promise all these results but don’t actually deliver.  Well I’m well and truly eating my own words as the change are my eye area is most certainly noticeable.  Firstly, lets just say that this cream doesn’t promise the earth and by that I mean getting rid of lines, wrinkles, bags etc.  What it does do is promise hydration for the eye area and for me, it has delivered on this promise.

The colour of this cream is quite odd.  It has a slight yellow/greeny tinge to it which I assume is from the Avocado.  However the colour doesn’t really matter as it obviously dries clear (imagine if it didn’t haha)  It sinks into the skin like a dream.  It’s texture changes from a cream to an almost water like substance which it so easy for the skin to absorb.

To apply this cream I place four small dots around my eyes; on the brow bone, in each corner and at the top of my cheek.  I then use my finders to pat the cream around the eye without getting too close to it.  The lady in Kiehl’s said that the eye would take what it needs from the surrounding areas meaning you don’t need to slather your moisturiser all the way up too your eyeball.  I also feel really safe if this cream does go too near my eye as the formula is light and non greasy meaning it’s not too harsh for the under eye skin.

The Results…

Right onto the results!  As I already said, this cream is fantastic for hydrating around the eye with the tiniest amount.  They haven’t disappeared completely but my under eye bags have also been reduced with the use of this eye cream.  I’m hoping that it help hold the fine lines and wrinkles at bay too.  Overall, I’m really enjoying using this cream.  It sits really well underneath makeup and has allowed my skin to improve.  Would I try it again once it runs out?  I’m not sure as I’ll probably want to try another but it’s been a great little product that might become a bit of a ‘go-to’ if all others fail!

Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is available for £20 from the John Lewis for 14g.  What are your eye cream suggestions?
