Kate Moss for Rimmel Matte Lipstick in 101 Review

When Kate Moss released her first set of lipsticks for Rimmel I was significantly underwhelmed.  There was nothing special about the range and no shade that jumped out at me and made me think ‘I must have you now!!’  However I feel very differently about the new matte range that they have just released.  I stood in Boots for a long time before deciding which ones to buy and even then I couldn’t narrow it down to any less than three (thank god for 3 for 2!)  I also picked up 107 and 110.

101 is a light pink shade with blue tones (great for teeth whitening).  It goes on easily and the colour pigmentation is fantastic.  I put it next to my Mac Creme Cup and it is slightly pinker (I’ve heard people compare it to snob) but it will make a fantastic shade for both day and night.  In terms of it’s matte-ness, I would say there is a slight gloss but nothing too shiny.
I can see this line being a great alternative to people who don’t want to splash out on Mac.  I’ve worn this shade over the weekend and it was pretty average in terms of staying power; around two and a half hours but like I said the pigmentation is excellent.  I also really like the packaging.  It makes a change from classic black.
The Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipsticks are available for £5.49 each but keep an eye out for Boots 3 for 2, barginous!!
Have you tried these lipsticks.  What is your favourite shade?
